Bathampton Meadows

A train whizzing past, the city of Bath serving as a backdrop.

The Christmas holidays had drawn to a close, and I wasn’t looking forward to returning to work. Thankfully, my friend (who sold me the Fujifilm X-M5 in the first place) fancied a day out at nearby Bathampton.

On the outskirts of Bath, the village offered a scenic walk along a tranquil canal, leading to open fields and then a woodland.

We spotted a slew of animals on our saunter — a squirrel catching some sun, cheeky cats boarding a boat, ducks in a row, and staring sheep.

The light later in the day was also fantastic. Wandering through an underpass around golden hour was much more dreamy and inviting than usual. And we managed to shoot the Wolf Moon on our drive back to Bristol. Check out those shots at the bottom of the page.
