A Stroll Through Salisbury

A barn behind a rapeseed field on the outskirts of Salisbury.

My friend’s birthday brought me to Salisbury on an unseasonably sunny spring day. I was whisked through the town, only glimpsing the medieval black-and-white timber-framed buildings that feel quintessentially British.

The main item on our agenda was a wholesome walk through the fields on the city’s outskirts. A different affair to the usual of planting our butts on pub stools for hours. The sun shone, as did the subjects. It was hard to take a bad photo (I hope).

Birds and bees bounded about. Buzzards and red kites regularly be seen gliding overhead. The country houses and thatched rooves were well kept. I hope the rest of spring brings more days like this.
