Flying Kites at Tyntesfield
A crow fending off a red kite.
My partner and I recently visited Tyntesfield, a National Trust house and grounds. It felt like winter had begun to settle in, that’s to say the weather was baltic! At least the manor house itself was warm inside, and strewn with decor from fairytales and children’s stories.
Outside, while freezing, was home to excellent autumn foliage and a variety of winter birds. We saw dunnocks, wagtails, robins, crows, and even a red kite searching for its next meal.
Below are some photos of the manor house’s exterior and interior, the local wildlife, and a couple more buildings in lovely lighting.
